Random Thoughts: My Favorite Sh*t of 2011

2011 AD was truly something else. It was neither a good nor bad year but a year none the less. Life kept on moving and I was thankful for every second of it. (It’s still real in the field though.) I would like to think that I’ve grown a little and made some all-around improvements. I know everyone is getting ready for 2012 but I just wanted to let everyone in some of the things I enjoyed in 2011. Please Come Home … (A Hard Eight For Christmas)

Christmas will be here in a few days and after that a new year. One of the best things about the holidays is that people tend to get over themselves. After the removal of sticks from rears en masse there is a list of good things that make folks happy this time of year. The time with friends and family is priceless. Then there’s the choice of eating yourself into oblivion. After that, I’m sure there’s some distilled “spirits” involved. One of my absolute favorite things about this time of year is the music. Christmas songs come in two forms: Awesome and horrifically bad.

Teams That I Would Never, Not For Nothing, Pull For

Thanks to my sister, Dale I’m a pretty big sports fan. A bulk of my view about sports is based on what I learned from by watching her when I was a young warthog. For instance I am both an Oakland Raiders and UNC Tar Heel men’s basketball fan because that’s who she watched and pulled for.
